Standing, Sitting, Moving
I would love to hear from others who are like minded about their standing, sitting practices.
I do these daily, as well as movement.
We sit to learn to train and focus the mind.
We stand for power as well as whole body integration.
Of course there is more, but that is the basic concepts of sitting and standing as how I do it.

Hello Dale!
I have changed my standing practice tremendously this year based on one of my teachers who has a class in the park.
I focus on a few standing postures:
Pipa on both sides left and right.(empty stance)
Ward off on both sides (gong bu)
and wu ji standing.
here is his article:

Re: Standing, Sitting, Moving
Both are a big part of our tradition as well, Dale. Hsu Hong Chi used to summarize by saying "Stand for strength of mind. Sit fo depth of mind." I also practice both types of meditation daily. It is something I feel that, once delved into, is very hard to turn away from. But those who do not practice this often do not understand the utility and dismiss it as useless.

Lie like a bow.
Sit like a bell.
Stand like a post.
Walk like the wind.
Pretty much covers it all, lol...
